While this year’s embedded world is just around the corner and everybody at EBV is looking forward to it excitedly, we want to recap what happened in Nuremberg last year.
As the world’s leading trade fair for embedded systems technologies, embedded world every year attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world. In 2015, people from about 70 different counties found their way to the second-largest city in Bavaria. During the 3-day-show more than 25.000 people from various industries walked through the halls of the exhibition centre in order to explore products and solutions of more than 900 exhibitors. Among the visitor were mainly representatives from the research and development area of the automotive, industrial and computer sector.
They had the chance to stop by the EBV booth, which was really crowded during the three days of the exhibition. And not without a reason. About 200 square meters were packed not only with our products, but we also presented demos and solutions of 13 of our manufacturing suppliers on our booth. We were able to introduce some really useful IoT and cloud solutions to the visitors: Innovative IoT solutions along with our Vertical Segments.
Another highlight at our booth was the introduction of a completely new solution. The EBVChip Maia is a single embedded low cost wireless M-Bus RF Module developed especially for the AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) smart metering and smart grid infrastructure. Maia complemented the existing EBVchips consisting out of Vesta (wireless sub-GHz module for IP500 mesh networks), Epona (automotive alternator regulator), Titan (robust industrial pressure sensor), Minerva (multi-channel programmable pre-driver for automotive injectors and industrial solenoids) and Hermes (M-Bus transceiver for smart metering).
Last but not least we hosted a special press event with Thomas Staudinger, EBV VP Vertical Segments, talking about the IoT and Industry 4.0.
So you can be curious to see what there will be shown on the EBV booth (Hall 5, Booth 278) at this year’s embedded world 2016 coming up from February 23rd to 25th in Nuremberg. We can tell you that we are already excited and are looking forward to seeing you there.
