Amazing how the time flew by during the last three days at embedded world 2018 in Nuremberg! Our booth was so packed with the latest products for the IoT, that it was hard to dive deeper into every solution. We tried to give you a comprehensive wrap-up with our updates here on the EBV blog.
We could not cover everything here, but finally worth mentioning is the wide range of products ON Semiconductor offered on its working stations for different applications. Often described as “the eyes of the Internet of Things” are image sensors. ON Semi provides a comprehensive portfolio along with supporting software and hardware. Astonishing is the performance of the AR5021 CMOS digital image sensor. It is perfect for security applications because it is able to capture both continuous video and single frames.
Also a lot of attention gained the workstation demonstrating Sigfox connectivity with the world’s smallest System in Package (SiP) solution. You just need to connect the innovative, ultra-low power Sigfox SiP module to the ON Semi IDK development kit and you are ready for your IoT application. What else has been shown on the ON Semiconductor workstation can be seen in this explanatory video with experts from ON Semiconductor:
During the past days we introduced to you the most important developments of our Platinum Sponsor suppliers exhibited at embedded world 2018. We’ve seen important product launches and innovations that will drive the development of the Internet of Things forward. Unfortunately, we could not feature everything in more detail, such as the products of the other suppliers that showcased on our booth.
Nevertheless, there were plenty of more interesting products that make the IoT happen, such as the Samsung ARTIK IoT Platform, sensor solutions from ams and IDT. We have seen analog solutions from Microchip, wireless charging solutions from Infineon and the Zynq-7000 Development Kit from Xilinx.
Last but not least the TSN demonstrator, we developed in cooperation with Phoenix Contact, Fraunhofer Institute and NXP, was an eye catcher and not to forget the working station showing our ingenious concepts that boost product innovations – the EBVchips.
We hope you enjoyed the show as much as we did. If you could not make it to the trade fair and to talk to our experts in person, no worries. Just contact us here. And maybe we see each other next year at embedded world 2019.
