It has been one of the many thrilling moments at Mobile World Congress (MWC) when the winners of the last Innovation Worldcup competition were announced at the beginning of March in Barcelona. The jury awarded awesome ideas, prototypes and applications with the potential to disrupt the IoT market. This year participation makes even more sense, because another special prize is waiting for one of the best and most innovative ideas – The EBV IoT Hero.
Making Innovation Visible
As already reported EBV started the collaboration with Innovation World Cup Serie this year. Since then we are touring through Europe at different conferences in order to get in touch with start-up companies and entrepreneurs to offer them support with their projects. Many businesses that intent to bring an innovative product to the market fail because they are not beware of certain pitfalls they can stumble in on their way from the idea to the product.
For that purpose the Innovation World Cup Series organizes events and conferences together with its partners where international key players not only unveil the latest developments in the world of the Internet of Things (IoT) but also share their vast industry experience. This is where EBV Elektronik throws oneself into the breach as well.
Learn From Industry Leaders
IoThings Milan in Italy was one of the events that took place within the scope of the Innovation World Cup Series. Since 2002 it is an internationally important event dedicated to M2M and IoT technologies. Subjects like Smart Cities and Industry 4.0 were addressed just as IoT for smart farming. Accordingly, Mario Diotti, BDM at EBV Elektronik, in his presentation spoke about connected IoT devices, the “smart age” and how The EBV IoT is bringing the internet to life.
The IoT brings along tremendous opportunities but also threads. That’s why, for instance, security for the IoT is a critical topic and cannot be neglected when it comes to the design of the devices. Markus Vogt, Director Segment Healthcare & Wearables at EBV Elektronik discussed such pitfalls – finding the right strategic partners, how to raise money for the project or answering questions about production and distribution – during his presentation at Infoshare in Gdansk, Poland. This mega-event was the place to go for entrepreneurs in May – three days fully packed with side events, presentations on 3 different stages and discussions with investors.
In the field of the industrial Internet of Things, Finland is ranked one of the top countries. Innovation is not only a word here. Not surprisingly that many start-up events and happenings take place here as well. Health Demodate in Oulu was one out of several start-up events in Europe inside the IoT Innovation World Cup Series. EBV was present with a stand in the exhibition area and on stage in front of hundreds of attendees.
They learned about why EBV is the right partner to realize your project. With EBV you can stay in control because we help you to design your product and bring it to the market in the best way. EBV can offer not only access to the right semiconductor components from different manufacturers but can also give support in logistics or digital experience.
Several more events will follow this year that you will be able to attend. So no worries if you miss the first ones. Have a look here what events will still be coming up.
