Every year PCIM Europe is one of EBV trade show highlights. During the three days beginning of June, the Nuremberg Exhibition Center is the meeting point for everyone who is into power electronics and their application. About 450 exhibitors present their latest developments and innovations in power electronics from components, packaging up to intelligent systems. Further topics like renewable energy, energy management or intelligent motion will be focused on.
The application specialists and experienced field application engineers of EBV Elektronik can be met again in the Franconian metropolis. And again we will be accompanied by our supplier partner Broadcom, which is the industrial leader in fiber optics and optocouplers. Those will then be the dominant topics that will be addressed at the EBV booth.
Broadcom’s world leading power solutions
Fiber optic components are becoming more important for industrial, automation or power generation/distribution applications. This technology provides many advantages over metal (copper) wire and nowadays will usually be used for data transmission. Fiber optic components are especially designed to operate where the highest electrical isolation and EMI immunity are needed. In Nuremberg, there will be the chance to get to know Broadcom’s world’s leading portfolio of optical power components for electrically isolated power, for remote sensors and actuators in industrial applications. Moreover, you can explore galvanic isolation and fiber communication for industrial applications.
New packages, more features and better performance offers Broadcom with its optocouplers. Those semiconductor devices isolate unwanted signals by physically separating high-voltage circuit systems from neighboring low-voltage systems. Special requirements in terms of insulation and reliability are crucial for automotive-grade applications. Broadcom presents isolation solutions for all voltages, such as sigma-delta modulators for accurate measurements of phase current and bus voltage in motor drives and power inverter applications.
Grid Concept for e-Vehicle Combined Charging Station
And this is not the end of the story you can listen to on the EBV PCIM booth. Use your time to get insights from our specialists into concepts of fast electric vehicle charging systems, too. They will explain you the challenges and requirements these systems will have on the smart grid, and provide you solutions from the component to the intelligent system.
So if you are keen to learn about the innovations in power electronics, energy management and smart grid, you definitely need to come to Nuremberg, from June 5th to 7th. We can’t wait to tell you more. Find us and our colleagues from Broadcom in hall 9 on booth 412.
Electrification and Autonomous Vehicle Systems
One more thing you must not miss at PCIM is the presentation of EBV Director Segment Automotive and High-Rel Frank-Steffen Ruß during the E-Mobility Forum in Hall 6 Booth 6-320. The subject will be: Electrification and Autonomous Vehicle Systems: The Change of Electrical / Electronic Architecture. Stop by either on Tuesday, 5 June 2018 or on Wednesday, 6 June 2018 at 10:30 a.m. See you then!
